Find the right training collar can be tricky. There are so many options. We made the fast review of the top 5 best sellers so you can compare and made your decision. Of course we will give you our best opinion and the Editor’s choice.

Training collar objective

Our best friend can be quite revel sometimes. He loves to bark and jump at every friendly face.  But sometimes this behavior becomes annoying and must be modified. That’s the main purpose of the training collar: to help us to educate our beloved wild friend. And they are so effective that are a must when it comes to train revel friends.

Basically the training collar will help to correct nasty behaviors that our pet could develop, such as:

  • Uncontrollable barking
  • Digging
  • Chewing our staff
  • Aggressiveness
  • Jumping on people
  • Running away

I am sure you know what I am talking about!

What is a training collar

The training collar is used around the dog’s neck. It has electronic components that can be activated using a remote control. The most popular is the shock based (our friend will receive a mild, and regulable by the owner, electric shock when you need to correct its behavior). Other alternatives are citronella solution based and ultrasonic based.

Some customer reviews

“Woah! I have been a trainer for many years and always felt “shock” collars weren’t the humane way to train until our new dog just wouldn’t stop barking for no reason. I tried the vibrate and the “shock” mode on myself before I put it on her. 1st, Vibrate mode is a soft shake of the device. My kids and I had fun passing it around to try each level. 2nd, “Shock” mode isn’t the type of shock these devices used to have. It’s static shock, like dragging your feet across the floor and then touching someone hoping there’s a shock for fun. Level 100 isn’t fun…… Just FYI. And no I did not let my kids try shock mode. In one day our dog stopped ALL bad behavior…”

“I’m not usually one for using a shock collar until I adopted an extremely hyper boxer last year. She is very hard to train and does not listen so I figured I would try a shock collar. I put the setting on very low (18) and it works perfectly. It doesn’t hurt her but it does get her attention which is what I was looking for. I had a problem with her eating my other dogs fecal matter and thos stopped her so far. Now she is afraid to eat it. I would not recommend putting the setting any higher than 20. I tested it on myself before putting it on my dog just to make sure it wouldn’t hurt her and I feel if it were any higher than 20 then it would definitely hurt the dog”.
